THE BAGEL SHOP
Another item on our New York Foodie Bucket List was the rainbow bagel from The Bagel Store. Located in Brooklyn, New York, we were so excited to try this delicious bagel for breakfast. We hopped in an Uber and made our way over to The Bagel Store first thing Friday morning. Not only did they have multiple bagels to choose from, they also had many fillings to choose from too.
We both ordered the rainbow bagel, which came filled with a cream cheese based funfetti filling. It was interesting and tasty, but a little on the "too sweet" side after multiple bites. It was fun to try though and made for some great pictures! Next time, we'd love to go back and try a regular bagel with one of their other fillings.
JACKSON STREET BRIDGE
If you're from Atlanta, odds are you may of heard of the infamous Jackson Street Bridge. The Jackson Street Bridge overlooks the city of Atlanta and gives you access to capture landscapes of the ATL skyline, as well as portraits and group pictures with the skyline in the background. We love going to the bridge to play with the shutter speed at night.
FALL IN NYC
BLACK TAP
Before traveling to New York City, we had spotted these delicious milkshakes on Pinterest! We love ice cream so we knew we had to put it on our itinerary of places to visit.
After a busy day of exploring the city, we took the subway train to Soho and waited in line for dinner at Black Tap. Little did we know the line on a Saturday night would be stretched around the building. We waited outside in the cold for two hours. We sat, we stood, we danced, trying to stay warm and wait for time to pass. Finally, it was our turn! The hostess led us into Black Tap, which was so small and quaint. We were seated along a bar top area, where we got to know the neighbors sitting next to us real well. The seating was tight, but the food was well worth it. Our water was served in a tall glass bottle, where we could pour it ourselves into our cute glass mason jar cups.
For dinner we shared The Spicy Mexican Burger. It's a chorizo burger with jack cheese, pico de gallo, and chipotle mayo, yum! We agreed it was delicious!
For dessert, we choose two milkshakes to try. We had our eyes on the cake milkshake off their Instagram, but it turns out they change their menu's to keep people coming back, so those milkshakes had already been taken off their menu. Bummer!
Both shakes were good, but we favored the vanilla cookie shake more.
If you ever find yourself in soho, definitely stop by Black Tap and check it out for yourself!
